Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter on WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. O'Dell's stories in Charleston concerning the lack of leniency by police in DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to examine. The result was state authorities issuing more strict rules in these instances. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. Her work in Charleston has led to her serving as co-anchor and investigative reporter and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before she joined Access Hollywood she was a co-anchor on weekdays as well as NBC's weekend co-anchor. She also works as a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She co-hosted several of pre-shows and arrivals shows for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Co-hosted the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
